With the possibility of winter weather, students could have another few snow days. That could also mean school systems having to tack on extra days at the end of the school year.
Most school systems have missed five or six already this year, excluding Charlottesville City Schools, which have only missed three.
Most schools have made up some of the missed time through built in snow days.
Albemarle and Greene counties will decide if they need to add days to the end of the year once the season is over.
Fluvanna County will start taking back furlough and staff days if any other school days are missed.
Nelson, Orange, and Louisa counties have longer school days all year long, which gives them a cushion when it comes to weather.
