Summer Construction Work on Grounds
May 23, 2012
The Rotunda on Grounds at University of Virginia is getting a makeover. Crews began working Wednesday on the renovations.
The roof and skylight will be replaced and the bricks and windows are also getting some work done.
Renovations should be done by August 2013, but the University says they hope to have it done in time for Final Exercises next year.
The renovations will coast around $4.7 million and crews will certainly be busy this year. There are also plans to renovate the roofs and bathrooms of some student rooms on the Lawn and replacing the Lawn's grass with new turf.
