Wreck Blocks Traffic at Busy Albemarle County Intersection

The southbound lanes of Route 29 in Albemarle County were blocked Tuesday morning after a crash involving two vehicles.

Investigators said a car and power truck collided at the intersection of Route 29 and Rio Road at 6:45 AM.

A woman in the car was hospitalized after the crash. Her condition is not known.

Firefighters blocked several lanes of traffic while they cleaned up the wreckage. The road has since reopened to drivers.

There's no word on any possible charges.
