United Way is kicking-off a How I LIVE UNITED Story Search this summer. They are looking for authentic, moving stories of how people are living united to help improve the education, income and health of people where they live.
This story search invites people to upload a short video with their story to www.liveunited.tv. The public can then view and vote for their favorite, with the top 20 rated/viewed presented to our expert panel, which will narrow down the field to the top three choices. The public can then vote on which story they think United Way should feature in their national brand advertising campaign in 2010.
What It Means To LIVE UNITED:
LIVE UNITED. It’s a credo. A mission. A goal. A constant reminder that when we as individuals think outside ourselves, we have the power to facilitate change.
More, it’s a command. To give. To advocate. To volunteer. To improve the education, income and health of people right where you live.
It takes everyone in the community working together to create a brighter future. Living united means being a part of the change.
Whether you’re giving a monetary donation, advocating on behalf of these issues, or volunteering your time, you’re joining the movement to create opportunities for a better life for all.
Story Search Description:
Create and submit an original video* no longer than 2 minutes (and preferably shorter) illustrating how you’re working to make a difference in one or more of the following issue areas:
