Attorneys for accused killer George Huguely appeared in a Charlottesville courtroom late Friday night in an attempt to keep pictures of homicide victim Yeardley Love away from the jury.

Huguely was not in court for the motions hearing. His attorneys also asked a judge what the media will and will not be able to do during the trial.

Huguely is accused of beating and killing his ex-girlfriend, Love, at her apartment in May 2010. Both were fourth-year student-athletes at the University of Virginia.

The judge did not make any rulings on the motions Friday night. It's the latest in a series of motions filed by Huguely's legal team in advance of the trial, which is expected to start Feb. 6.

Show the pictures of this poor girl with her head broken by this thug. In her bedroom going to bed And this animal breaking down her door ......blood coming out ogpf her nose with him putting her blanket over her head and stealing her laptop with his emails threatening to kill her.....don't let this animal live

Yeah right. After all, what interest might a jury have in seeing pictures of the crime scene? I guess they don't have the "need to know" what really happened. This is beyond ridiculous.

Since when are jurors in this country forbidden to see a crime scene picture? Now that is a real crime.
