For this segment of Hot on the Hanger, CBS 19's Tara Wheeler visited Plato's Closet in Charlottesville to help people be more stylish in the new year while on a budget.

She found three outfits at Plato's Closet all for under $40. For outfit number one, Tara found a pair of jeans and a macrome top along with a floral tank top and some earrings. Total price $26.

For outfit number two, Tara found a button down gap top, skinny cargo pants, boots, a bag and accessories all under $40.

Outfit number three, Tara found a racer back tank top, a sweatshirt with lace details, denim leggings and platform style heels and shoes. The total price for the items were under $40.
