News Director

The Charlottesville Newsplex (home of CBS19, ABC16, WAHU FOX27, and Newsplex.com) in award-winning Charlottesville, VA is looking for the leader who can take our news team and content to the next level.

The successful candidate will have working knowledge of every facet of newsroom operations; must be able to recruit, train, motivate, and teach by example; and will benefit from the momentum of our ongoing ratings growth across the board. Our news team is talented, eager, and on the rise, having won the 2011 VAB award for Most Outstanding Newscast in Virginia (all market sizes). Candidates who wish to continue anchoring are encouraged to apply, but anchoring is not a requirement; previous management experience is preferred, but also not required.

Digital Sales Director

You will drive and influence the growth of our digital and interactive products, and give our advertisers top of the line service! You’ll work with our broadcast sales manager, and empower and assist our broadcast account executives with creative digital solutions. You’ll manage major digital projects, from concept to execution to measurement. And you’ll have a lot of fun with our team and our products, from March Madness Contests to American Idol Giveaways.

Weekend Production Assistant

The Charlottesville Newsplex is looking for a weekend part-time production assistant. Duties include non-linear editing, audio,character generator, teleprompter, and floor directing. The ability to work with others as a member of a team is essential. Experience preferred but not required.




Account Executive

The Charlottesville Newsplex (CBS19/ABC16/WAHU FOX27/MyCvilleTV/WeatherNow) is seeking a driven individual to serve as Account Executive in advertising sales. Our advertising sales team works with local business owners to help them reach their goals, and we have a lot of fun along the way!

You will be responsible for multiple face-to-face sales calls on a daily basis, to sell our array of outstanding networks and new media products. Must be a results-driven individual accustomed to meeting goals salary-seekers need not apply. Sales experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
