The William Monroe Green Dragons were looking for their first win Friday against Louisa. The Lions were coming off a disappointing 26-0 loss to Courtland last week.
After an Anthony Hunter option run put the Lions deep in William Monroe territory, Glen Cosby took the snap and went untouched into the endzone, giving the Lions an early 7-0 lead.
Holding a 14-0 lead, the Lions capped off the first quarter with a Kire' Worley touchdown to push the lead to 21-0 after one quarter of play.
Louisa's ground attack continued to dominate in the second quarter, as a Rashawn Jackson run set up a Dillon Hollins touchdown run to increase the Louisa lead to 35-0. The Lions would tack on three more scores in the second quarter to take a 56-0 lead into the locker room.
Louisa would go on to win by that score, 56-0. William Monroe (0-4) will try again to get that first win at Charlottesville next week, while Louisa (3-1) will travel to Crozet for a heavyweight tilt with undefeated Western Albemarle.
