Guerilla Yoga is a class that is meant to bring yoga to the people. These classes can be found from churches to community centers.
The class operates on a donation basis, so everything is more affordable and accessible to those who might just be beginning.
Instructor, Kate Hallahan, believes that is key, "yoga is unconcerned with how inflexible you are in the left hamstring. If you look beside you and the person has their nose to the ground in a forward fold, it can be disconcerting if we're still trying to touch our shins."
However, it's not just about physical well being. According to yoga student Erin Cowgey, it helps her in school.
"I am a law student right now, and it is a huge stress reliever for me. It;s the only thing that keeps me sane basically and grounded during my days at school," said Cowgey.
