STAB Silver Lining Blood Drive

December 9, 2012

Saint Anne's Belfield school students and families held their second annual 'Tailgate and Donate' Silver Lining Blood Drive in honor of Becky Silver.

She died last year of leukemia and she was a STAB mother who was always cheering at the football games.

Her family and friends in the community decided to celebrate her life by creating a day full of giving blood, eating and spending time all together.

"Nate Silver has been my best friend since I've started at STAB in first grade, and I knew Becky Silver very well. Just seeing everyone come together for a cause that means a lot to everyone is just really special. And you don't see that a lot these days," said Dustin Jones, a STAB senior and football player.

Even Coach Mike London joined the cause for Silver Lining and donated blood.
