The housing market appears to be improving in Central Virginia.
In Charlottesville and the surrounding counties, home sales were up 15 percent in 2012. The median home price rose two percent to $249,000.
The number of homes on the market in 2012 marked the lowest number in six years.
In Albemarle County, one in every five homes sold was in Crozet.
