Albemarle County Supervisors met Monday morning to discuss the proposed budget for 2013.
Members discussed the general fund overview that focused on the non-departmental budget.
Over the weekend, Supervisor Duane Snow talked to CBS19 about the effects of the sequester on the school board budget.
Snow explained when the sequester was expected to kick in for the schools.
"The schools won't kick in until maybe Fall at the earliest," said Snow. "And so with that in mind it gives Congress a chance to really straighten this thing out, and so it won't be an issue for us. But if it is an issue, we have set aside a million dollars in the county budget to deal with that."
There was one protester in the crowd that displayed a sign that read, "Democrats who want Dumler out."
