Send Military Jet Authorized to Approach CHO

Did you hear it last night? That loud noise in the sky right around 9:00 P.M.?

Naval Air Force Command says an EA-6B Prowler made an authorized approach to the Charlottesville Albemarle Airport.

This type of jet is designed to jam or disrupt a target's electronic communications.

There is no official word if this aircraft is part of a Navy or Marine unit.
