The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will be keeping a close eye on the roads.
VDOT crews spent Thursday morning preparing salt trucks, and making sure the plows were ready to clear away whatever mother nature throws our way.
Now it's a waiting game as crews monitor the roads to make sure they're drivable.
“I think we can pretty much take care of whatever comes this way,” said James Braxton with VDOT. “We ask the public to bear with us and be out of our way so we can do our thing and I think everything will be safe.”
VDOT crews will first focus their attention on the main roads, before venturing back into neighborhoods and back roads.
