Eye Doctors Offering Free Exams

February 8, 2013

Charlottesville doctors for Record & Record Optometrists are hosting free eye exams for children at their offices on Friday.

The program is called SEE, meaning “Student Eye Exams”.
Their mission is to provide good vision so children can reach their full educational and social potential.

"The program was launched this year and it was launched by doctors Record and Record Optometrists," says Dr. Erdal Adams. "The practice has been in Charlottesville providing eye care since nineteen-eighty-three."

"The program today is to help those who are financially deprived in the area, those that do not have a vision care plan and are unable to pay for eye exams and glasses," says Adams. "We will see about thirty students today in the local charlottesville area."

Dorlinda Anderson said her grandson needed the help.
“It’s helping me to try to get him some new glasses because his are broken and his nurse said he really needed to see the eye doctor again.”

Exams started at eight this morning and will continue throughout the day until 5:00 PM.

To schedule an appointment, call either the Sachem Village Office (434-978-4090) or the Pantops Office (434-975-2420).
You must schedule an appointment ahead of time of the event, and space is limited.
