Posted: 1:41 PM Jan 26, 2013
The Virginia men's basketball team used a big second half to overcome a two point halftime deficit and beat Boston College 65-51 on Saturday.
Freshman Justin Anderson scored a career-high 16 points, and junior Akil Mitchell also had 16 points in the Cavaliers' third straight win.
UVa shot 77.3% from the floor in the second half, which is a season high and the best shooting percentage for UVa in a half since1984.
The Cavaliers' leading scorer this season, Joe Harris, had just seven points for Virginia, but Anderson hit 7 of 9 shots and Mitchell was 6-for-10 and added six rebounds.
The win moves Virginia to 14-5 overall and 4-2 in the ACC. Next up, they host the 18th-ranked North Carolina State Wolfpack Tuesday at 7 p.m.
