Posted: 1:36 PM Mar 15, 2013

Scott Wood drained seven three-pointers for a game-high 23 points as fifth-seed N.C. State eliminated No. 4 Virginia from the ACC Tournament, 75-56.

The Cavaliers shot just 32% from the field (9-28) in the first half and trailed by nine, 30-21, at the break.

The Wolfpack then opened the second half on a 14-4 run thanks to three triples from Wood.

Akil Mitchell led the Wahoos with 19 points and eight rebounds while Joe Harris added 13.

The Cavaliers (21-11) will now await their NCAA Tournament fate Sunday evening.
