After claiming their second straight Region II championship Saturday night, the Fluvanna boys can look forward to their next challenge: states. The VHSL announced times and pairings for the first round of the AA Division 3 state tournament on Sunday.

The Flucos will meet Region I runner-up James Monroe Friday at 8:45 p.m. at James Madison University. A win would set up a state semifinal game against Region IV champion Cave Spring or Region III runner-up Waynesboro. Those two teams will play Friday at 8:45 p.m. at Salem CC.

Waynesboro knocked Fluvanna out of states last year in the same round, 72-60.
