Bates Invited to MLS Draft Combine

Virginia's Will Bates is among the college seniors invited to next month's MLS pre-draft combine in Florida.

MLS released its list of 54 invitees on Tuesday. The pre-draft combine will be held from January 11-15 in Fort Lauderdale, with the 2013 MLS SuperDraft scheduled for January 17 in Indianapolis.

Bates was a two-time All-ACC selection at Virginia, including this past season, when he finished second in the league with 12 goals, and third with 25 total points. He ended his UVa career ranked seventh in school history with 46 goals, and ninth all-time with 102 career points.
