Stalled contract negotiations led thousands of workers in Verizon Communication Inc.'s wireline division to go on strike Sunday, potentially affecting landline operations as well as installation of services like FiOS.

    Fire them and wait 30 days. Hire temps to fill in gaps, but these folks are over-paid, great health benefits and under-worked. Lots of phone folks have lost their jobs in the last few years, and they would love to have these folks jobs.

    And why shouldn't they? They are making many times over what the average person makes,they have Cadillac health plans and the support of of our dear leader Barrack Hussein Obama. I wonder if he'll truck in some of the Yes We Can nuts to inflate their numbers on the picket line.
