Clarke Howard has had "issues" with BoA for years. Bottom line, the big banks really don't need us "little" folks to continue their profit margins. Been using Credit Unions for over 30 years and have been very happy myself. That said, for the last 12 years I have had a Marriott Visa card through Chase bank. Just canceled it because they wanted to charge an annual fee of $45; Homey, don't play that!

BoA will have the last laugh. American workers love their rich masters more than they love themselves.

One more reason to change banks.

Does anyone ever wonder why some people still prefer to put their money in their mattress? Maybe the grandparents or great GP had hind sight.

The Bank of the Americas is proving once again that it's nothing more than a Temple of Avarice. I already have accounts and a debit/credit card with another bank that I rarely use. That'll change promptly.

Another vote for the UVA Credit Union. Can't go wrong. Great folks, and they run their bank like a bank should be run.

I heard Bank of America was changing their name to First National Bank of Obama. Getting out the check book and dusting it off! Boycott BOA!

    You better check again!

If you read the AP article, it doesn't matter if you choose Debit or Credit

Bank of America already charges 12.99 a month aand now the debit card. Does the bank know that the economy is down. Can causwe a hardship. $20.00 dollars for some is like 100 to others. Well folks lets boycott bank of America. Ally Bank is not charging thats where we are going.

The UVA Credit Union is still (and always has been) the best bet in town. And, no, you don't not have to be a UVA employee or student to be a member. And, no, I don't work for the Credit Union, but have "banked" there for over 25 years. Great customer service. Nice people. Give them a try.

I absolutely agree!! The UVA Credit Union has always treated me very well! I've been with them for just over 20 years.

I'm sure BB&T will start this practice very soon, they charge you for everything else.

And I thought losing my debit rewards sucked. Wow. Glad I have USAA!! I will definitely be closing my Wells Fargo account if they charge me a fee for holding my card.
