Albemarle County Police say a tanker truck carrying fuel overturned, causing a road to be shut down for several hours.
It happened Tuesday morning in the 3600 block of Browns Gap Turnpike and Route 810, just 3 miles north of White Hall in Albemarle County.
Police say, the truck flipped onto its side and is blocking both lanes of traffic.
The truck was carrying home heating oil, kerosene and gas, which has been pumped onto another truck.
The road was reopened a little after 5:00 PM.
Police have charged the driver of the truck with failure to maintain control of the vehicle.
