HAMPTON, Va. (AP) - Hampton officials have canceled the city's spring carnival following a nearby shooting that killed one teenager and injured four others.
Media outlets report that shooting occurred around 11 p.m. Saturday near the Coliseum where the carnival was being held.
Police say gunfire erupted during an argument between two groups.
Sixteen-year-old Raphael Davis Jr. of Hampton was shot in the upper torso. He later died at a local hospital.
A 14-year-old male from Hampton was in critical condition after being shot in the back. Three other teenagers were treated at a local hospital for gunshot wounds and released.
No arrests have been made. The investigation is continuing.
