Latinos in northern Virginia are filing a lawsuit against Prince William County in an attempt to stop an anti-illegal immigration resolution.
The lawsuit will be filed in an Alexandria federal court. It argues that the resolution passed by the Board of Supervisors in July violates the U.S. Constitution and federal and state laws.
The resolution allows local police to check the residency status of individuals they encounter and authorizes county employees to collect immigration data on people who seek public benefits. The county also is seeking to deny public services to illegal immigrants including housing assistance, drug rehab for jail inmates and senior programs.
The groups filing the lawsuit on behalf of the Latinos say that the Prince William resolution infringes on Congress' power to regulate immigration.

BOGUS. It's not about "Latinos," it's about ILLEGAL ALIENS. Illegal aliens and their supporters are fighting tooth and nail against every bit of enforcement. They've had a free-ride for a long time and they don't want to see that change. Dear Police Departments and those that care about the laws of this nation. Please sign on with the 287 (g) program and run EVERY person arrested thru an immigration check. Criminals are everyone's concern and illegal aliens have proven they have a total contempt for our laws and our borders.
Will see, Donald. You could not believe what the racist groups like Maldef, Mecha, Lulac, and La Raza, have gotten away with in California--that they were not supposed to get away with.
What's new....they believe they are above the law. As a Hispanic leader is quoted: "We call things racism just to get attention. We reduce complicated problems to racism, not because it is racism, but because it works." --- Alfredo Gutierrez, political consultant, as quoted by Richard de Uriarte, The Phoenix Gazette, March 14, 1992 (quoted in The ProEnglish Advocate, 1st quarter, 2002). Actions such as this only add fuel to the burning fire yet they wonder why Americans are fed-up with them...
