Millions use the search engine google everyday and many of us, whether we admit it or not have searched for ourselves at least once or twice. That's what Matthew Slutsky, a political blogger, did searching for someone that shared his unique name.

"I immediately felt drawn to this guy because we share the same name and it's an unusual name" said Slutsky. .

It's called your googleganger and after finding his Matthew Slutsky and Matthew Slutsky now talk regularly.

"We talk every couple weeks, you know, how's the family, he's almost part of my family now, my mother actually contacted him as well and said, hey I'm Matthew Slutsky's mother, so it's really a family affair now" said Slutsky.

Gabriella Coleman, a professor of media and culture at NYU says it's only natural to be curious in today's online world. And that it's worth knowing how your name is being perceived in the virtual world.

"The type of representation that is formed you may feel does not match who you think you really are. At the same time I think there is a pleasure that people can have a window into your life in a way that was just not possible before the internet and these types of google searches" said Coleman.
