The 14th annual Jeffersonian Thanksgiving Festival kicks off Friday in Charlottesville.
The three-day festival starts with a historic parade on the downtown mall and a governors ball later Friday evening.
All day Saturday and Sunday, there will be plenty of activities to celebrate the history of Charlottesville.
Some of them include a battle re-enactment, games, music, dancing and food.
"I think its important as a community that we have a sense of memory of who we are as a people where we came from; all of our different diverse cultural background as a community," said organizer, Mark Beliles.
