A jury has found Robert Wyant guilty of felony homicide and felony child abuse or neglect.

Wyant will be facing a total of 7 years behind bars.

5 years behind bars for the felony homicide verdict, and an additional 2 years for felony child abuse or neglect.

Prosecutors say the 33-year-old former firefighter shook his ex-girlfriend's eight-month old daughter to death.

Earlier today, the jury heard closing closing arguments from both the defense and prosecution.

The jury, who had been deliberating since around lunchtime today, did not reach a verdict until just before 10 p.m.

The verdict came down on the 1 year anniversary of the baby's death.
