An Albemarle County woman was killed at a horse jumping competition in Florida on Saturday.
Witnesses said Eleanor Brennan, 21, of Esmont was crushed by her horse. The irish sport horse stumbled on a jump and rolled over onto his neck. The horse was killed instantly.
Brennan was taken to an area hospital where she died a short time later. An autopsy is scheduled next week in Florida.
