According to authorities, 55-year-old Edward Reece Brown of Albemarle County has been charged with 10 counts of child pornography.
Police said they found images and video of young girls on his work computer.
Another employee brought the matter to the attention of University administrators and UVA Police began a joint investigation with Albemarle Police.
Brown was a supervisor of Dining Services at UVA but, UVA Police said he is no longer employed by the University.
He is currently being held at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail.
His bond hearing was Monday, February 14th, and he was denied bail. No word yet on his court date.
