You may be heading downtown after the holidays to do some bargain hunting. But the money you save may have to pay for parking.
Effective january 1st, monthly and hourly rates are increasing at all three downtown garages.
The hourly rate will increase from $1 to $1.50.
And the maximum of $8.50 per day will increase to $12.
Monthly rates will be increasing by $10 per space.
More than 100 downtown businesses will continue to offer 2–hour free parking validation in the garages.
This is the first parking rate increase in the past five years. The hike is due to renovations downtown and operational costs.
