A virus scare has closed the Trinity Mission Nursing and Rehab on Northwest Drive in Charlottesville to visitors.

The home's medical director, Jonathan Evans, says there are many nursing homes in the area dealing with the same problem. Patients are sick to their stomach and have diarrhea.

The nursing homes services 180 people and 10 percent of the population has been infected by the illness. They are not calling it quarantine at this time, but they are closing doors to all visitors so as not to spread the disease further.

They are taking other precautionary measures such as requiring residents to eat meals in their rooms to keep from spreading the virus.
