"As soon as somebody mentions the word snow around here, the grocery store, salt, everything just disappears," said Dave Meadows, a Lowe's shopper.
The snow storm on Monday, February 28 was no exception. "Unfortunately this is all we have left here, a little bit a salt, some sand," said Jeff Craig, a Lowe's manager.
A mad rush over the weekend and on Monday morning left only a few things available for the latecomers. Even the shovels and most of the ice scrapers are already gone.
"We had a lot, we sold about 600 bags of ice melt between yesterday and this morning," said Craig.
However, the snow didn't stop very many people on Monday. Craig said there were a steady amount of shoppers all day. "I'm sure everybody's looking for snow removal stuff, they'll stop by here and we have a little bit left, not a whole lot," said Craig.
If you're looking for snow equipment like ice scrapers and shovels, you're best bet is to keep looking. A representative from Lowe's said they're not going to re-stock any of those items because there is only three more weeks of winter left.
