There's new information regarding last month's chemical spill on Interstate 81. On February 5th, a tractor trailer carrying chemicals caught fire after the brakes began sparking. Traffic was backed up for miles and several people from the Fort Defiance area were evacuated from their homes.
Now the company that cleaned up the spill is suing the trucking company. Hazmat 2000 is asking for $88,000 from Logistics International for the work it did. It took about five days to clean up the spill.
