Crews Repair Gas Leak

Utility crews have repaired a gas leak that caused minor traffic delays in the Forest Lakes neighborhood off of Route 29 Monday, Jan. 17.

It happened at the corner of Ashewood Blvd. and Towell Creek Road. A construction crew accidentally severed the pipe around 12:30 p.m.

The area smelled of gas for several hours while crews worked to repair the pipe.

They finished about 4 p.m.

No evacuations were made.
