There is now 'hope' for a local community.
Tuesday afternoon, January 17th, The Hope Foundation broke ground for its new community center in the 10th and Page Street neighborhood.
The ground breaking has long been awaited for, since the land was purchased six years ago.
The center will offer services specifically asked for by people in the community, who answered questionnaires. Such services include care for the elderly and children, financial training programs and assistance to teen mothers. The center will also have a police substation.
The Foundation is 'hoping' the building will be completed this June. If you would like to donate money, you can send a check to:
