The Republican started his campaign with a pledge to cap spiraling real estate assessments at five percent a year. Kilgore launched his campaign in his home town of Gate City Monday evening, March 21st, accompanied by U.S. Senators John Warner and George Allen.
Last week, his likely opponent, Democrat Tim Kaine also announced a plan to cut property taxes.
