UVA Nursing Students Without Borders raised money Wednesday night, March 30 for their peers in South Africa and El Salvador.

The fundraiser was a dinner at Shebeen where the students raised around $500, which would supply about one hundred textbooks to nursing students abroad who do not have enough.

"It's just knowing how blessed we are here," said nursing student Leah Welbourne. "It's just really wonderful to be able to share your experiences and what you've learned from being in school and being able to have the education we have here with people in another culture who aren't given the opportunities that we are."
