Already ranked in the top 50 by Tennis Magazine, the Boar's Head Inn's tennis resort may be able to inch up the ladder.
The inn has decided to add nine more indoor tennis courts to the three they have already.
The new facility will have a balcony of one thousand seats, which is a good thing considering that the UVA tennis team will compete there.
This is just one reason why they decided to expand.
"We have a very active tennis community. We have the Boyd Tinsley Tournament every year. We have members that play here. We have guests that would like to play more. And we have the UVA men's and women's tennis team play here. Currently we don't have enough courts to meet the needs of all those folks," said CEO of the UVA Foundation Tim Rose.
The UVA Foundation is funding the project. It will cost $7.5 million and be completed within the year.
