Neighbors in and around Elliott Street in Charlottesville gathered for a second time this week. They are hoping to start a neighborhood watch to deter criminals from coming into their neighborhood.
The residents say they are most concerned about speeding and drug related crimes.
Charlottesville Police Lt. Mike Dean says a neighborhood watch takes communities back to a time when people know who is living next door. It's an opportunity for neighbors to look out for each other and to look out for people that don't belong in the community.
