Suspect Arrested in February Shooting

The Madison County Sheriff's Office arrested James Lesley Francis this past weekend after he had managed to avoid police for weeks. He was apprehended at the Red Roof Inn in Culpeper.

Authorities say Francis shot a man in the thigh back in February during an argument in Madison County. Francis is being held at the Central Virginia Regional Jail and is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow.

He faces charges including malicious wounding.
