On Friday, April 1, it was not an April fool's joke when someone broke into the Johnson Elementary School on Cherry Avenue and caused over $1,000 worth of damage.
Vandals bashed in windows inside and outside of the school and smashed toys, but did not take anything.
A maintenance man discovered the damage.
