A man is dead from a one car accident near Cismont.
It happened just after 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 8, on Louisa Road/VA-22 near Bridlewood Terrace in eastern Albemarle County.
A witness stated she was driving behind the vehicle and saw it drive off the right side of the road. Once on the scene, Charlottesville Albemarle rescuers found a car lying on its roof in a ditch. A man was also found in the driver's seat. Police believe the man died on impact.
Albemarle County police say the man, 67-year old Harry Sims of Louisa, lost control of his car and over-corrected making the car flip hitting a picket fence and a tree.
This is this the third fatal accident in Albemarle County this week.
