There is one less person running for Lieutenant Governor. Republican Gil Davis has dropped out of the race. A lawyer from northern Virginia says he failed to attain enough signatures to be listed on the June 14th ballot.
Davis says he is sorry to disappoint his supporters. Friday was the deadline for candidates to submit signatures to the State Board of Elections. It is also the last day to file paperwork to run for office.
