The Grammy award winning Mary Chapin Carpenter performed to a sold out crowd of hundreds at the Paramount Theater on Friday, April 22.
A pre-party event was sponsored by Tiffany's Jewelry. All proceeds from the event go to cancer patients at the University of Virginia Cancer Center.
"It helps people on so many different levels, and I couldn't imagine not wanting to help out if there is a possibility of doing that," said Carpenter.
This was Carpenter's second benefit charity for the University of Virginia Cancer Center. In 2001 she raised over $100,000 for patients.
