Two Charlottesville businesses are broken-into overnight on Tuesday.

Moore's Creek Restaurant and the WOCO Gas Station, both on the 1700 block of Monticello Road were torn apart, according to Charlottesville Police.

Police have more than $400 dollars recorded missing from Moore's Creek Restaurant.

The restaurant's owner, Cynthia Herring says they later found even more cash missing.
In total, over $2,000 was stolen from the restaurant.

" Its hard, its hard to swallow, it makes you feel like you've been really violated" said Herring.

The thieves also made off with a full-sized arcade game.

Next door at the gas station, Police say the place was ransacked, but the worker's didn't report anything stolen.

Police have not yet named any suspects, and are still investigating.

What do you expect from an ever-increasingly liberal city government? More programs to help the "helpless"- that's the city motto. Quit coddling the people and giving them handouts!! Make them work like the rest of us, and help those who truly need help. World class city? Only if you mean European- let social programs abound...at our expense. If is obviously working for them.

These robberies are hardly surprising considering the large number of transients that live in the wooded areas nearby. Instead of pandering and catering to this crop of career bums the city government should be doing more to protect the ever lessening number of citizens that go to work everyday. It seems that a third of Charlottesville goes to work everyday to pay for the other two thirds.
