This is the best job market for college graduates in four years. A MonsterTRAK study found that sixty four percent of employers surveyed are planning to hire entry-level workers. In the Charlottesville region the growth is primarily in the service sector.
"Financial management, healthcare, a variety of those types of businesses seem to be doing quite well," said Robert De Mauri of the Thomas Jefferson Partnership on Economic Development.
The same study shows us that students are feeling confident--in fact 75 percent of upcoming graduates feel prepared to enter the workforce.
