People walking outside of the Omni hotel in Charlottesville caught an unusual sight Wednesday. Two activists with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals rallied against a meat marketing convention being held inside.
The two held signs and passed out flyers supporting their cause. One came dressed as the devil to represent the Hell, the organization says livestock endure in slaughterhouses.
"We're letting people know that factory farms are Hell on earth for animals, from the farm to the freezer, a cow's life is Hell on earth," said Chris Link, a PETA Protestor.
PETA hopes their efforts will convince people to become vegetarians.
