You remember this scene from last Thursday, a black bear cub going through backyards and bird feeders just looking for his next meal. Well, this four legged fellow was back at it again. This time the bear was sighted in the 2300 block of Shelby Drive.
"We saw him as soon as we turned into the back yard and we said, "oh, you have to go get the camera," said Sarah Nissen.
Nissen caught video of the latest black bear cub to invade this neighborhood as her and her father were coming from her soccer game. The video that she captured looks exactly like the video that we took of the bear cub last Thursday. Residents of this neighborhood heard about last Thursday's sighting but were surprised to find the bear hiding out in their back yard.
"We knew he was around but we did not expect to see him again, we thought we missed our chance," said Dan Nissen.
The bear started in a backyard, just milling around the bird feeder and hanging out in the garden. Ingrid Kischnick was out gardening just minutes before the bear entered her yard.
"I ran through the house and looked down and he was lying right here. He had torn down the bird feeder and was sitting there eating away," she said.
Sarah describes the bear as about three feet tall and probably weighing 150 pounds. Even though the bear was big, Sarah was brave and says she was not scared.
"It was really cool to see an actual wild animal in the backyard," she said.
