A man accused of murder and a woman accused of aiding his getaway were offered bond Friday morning.
Chris Green is charged with use of a firearm and using that firearm to shoot nineteen-year-old Ashley Tony to death. The murder happened January 27 in the Trophy Chase apartment complex in Albemarle County.
LaShanda Jackson is accused of aiding and abetting Green's getaway, perjury, and obstruction of justice.
Green's bond is set at $20,000 and Jackson's at $7,500. The two became persons of interest after a special grand jury sifted through conflicting evidence and witnesses.
"They worked very hard, were very diligent, and were very conscientious in what they did," said Commonwealth's Attorney. "And we are extremely pleased with the outcome of the deliberations. And we are looking forward to going to the trial on both of these individuals."
The trial date will be set June 6.
