Trial Date Set For Charlottesville Cops

June 3, 2005

Charles Saunders and Roy Fitzgerald will appear in court on Jan. 9. The two face federal charges for accepting money and prostitutes from the manager of the now defunct Maxx's Nightclub.

In exchange, Federal officials say they turned a blind eye to illegal activities at the club. Both officers have pleaded not guilty to the charges.
